Big Changes

No pictures today, but big news on things going on with us! Antonio isn't going to deploy with the 22nd MEU any longer and is getting out of the Marine Corps in September. We've been through a lot of bs with Marines in the past year. Things just didn't work out as we had planned, and though we're a little sad about that, we are really excited and happy to be getting out and moving on!

A day at the Beach

Today we took Emily to the beach. We went to Atlantic Beach, which is about 45 minutes away from us. We had a blast! I was so happy to be back on the beach, Antonio entertained himself with Emily's sand toys, and Emily just like the sand! She was eating it in hand fulls (I'm afraid what her poo is going to look like after this). There are a TON of pictures from today, unlike yesterday, when we took Emily to the aquarium and I FORGOT MY CAMERA! UGH. Hope this makes up for it!

Helping Daddy put sand in the bucket.
We took her down to the water. Surprisingly, the water wasn't even all that cold. Antonio even went in! I wasn't all that brave though.
She wasn't quite sure what to make of it at first...
But then she loved it.

Like I said, the water wasn't THAT cold, but it was still cold. Here are Emily and Antonio with similar reactions to the water. PRICELESS.

I buried her feet in the sand, and then she took them out and started picking the sand off!
Antonio brought her a bucket of water. This is the exact procession of what happened.

And it continued just like that. She splashed and splashed until she needed a refill.
I love this picture. Its perfect. And if you notice, the castle says "We love Mom." Thanks guys!

Here are some videos. The first is of Emily and how she first reacted to getting sand in her mouth. The second one is Emily trying to walk around in the water. Enjoy!

Kiddie Pool

Its been so nice the last couple of days, so Tuesday we decided to blow up Emily's kiddie pool. The water was pretty cold, be she LOVED it!
She loved splashing away!
So happy!
It was pretty cold the other day, so we didn't let her stay in too long.
We let her play around in the grass, and she kept pulling blades of grass out strand by strand and handing them to Antonio.
Look at the Buddha belly!
These ones are from today. I remembered we had this beach towel Grandma and Grandpa got her for her birthday. She looked so cute in it!

New Jersey

Last week we were home in Jersey on leave. I actually was really looking forward to coming home and we left a day earlier than we were supposed to. We dropped Amy off Saturday at Animal House, which is like a doggy/hotel and spa (they told us she had a great time! The even let her go swimming in their doggy pool, but she wasn't at all impressed. She made lots of friends and I'm definitely going to bring her back the next time). Then we got up at 3 AM (I was a complete zombie), left at 3:30, and got to my parents at 12:30. Emily only slept in the car until 6, and then took a half hour nap, she was way over tired by the time the day wound down, poor kiddo.

Of course one of the first things Em did was find a box to sit in. Here she is, sitting with the dog toys. My mom eventually just gave her a laundry basket and she had a blast. I'm not buying her toys anymore.
But Aunt Nieves bought her a cool toy! Its Backpack, from Dora the Explorer!
It sings and has stuff inside. Emily loves it and keeps pressing the button for it to talk over and over and over and... (I'm not exactly the biggest fan, but it makes her happy! Haha).
Here is our beautiful niece, Isabella
This was the best picture I was able to get of Emily and Isabella together. That day, Thursday, we had taken the girls to Picture Place in the mall so they could get their pictures taken together. We got 2 really good ones, no thanks to Emily, who was more interest on what was going on around her than sitting still for a picture! Hopefully I can get those pictures on here soon!
After I went to the new outlets in Titon Falls with my mom and Jillian on Friday Antonio took me go see his bike at my Grandmothers house. More like made me. And then made me take a picture on it. That bike is huge and was hard for me to get on, I have no idea how he is going to ride it.
Here he is, sitting on the love of his life.
This is what my husband's beard looks like after 8 days. He had to shave it before we came back to base, and I was so happy he did!
Everyone came over on Saturday to see Emily (and me and Antonio, of course). Emily's cousin Lidia came too, and the "played" together. Mostly, they just sat next to each other and chewed on the same toys.
Emily was so interested in Lacey. She kept giving (and taking away) toys to Lidia. And when Lacey was crawling around, Emily kept bending over to look at Lidia's face! It should be pretty interesting when we come home again in June and they are both a lore more mobile!
We had a great time! I can't wait to come back again in June, even though Antonio won't be with us that time. Has another week until he has to go back to work and I am so happy for that!

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny was nice enough to come a day early because we are getting ready to go for New Jersey for Antonio's pre-deployment leave. She got lots of good stuff! A little Dora the Explorer doll, a new Elmo dvd, sidewalk chalk for the summer, and Easter bunny ears.
She also got bunny pajamas!
And a brand new puzzle!
Here she is with bunny ears!
And of course Daddy had to wear them too.
She was so excited about her new Elmo DVD, she kept looking at it!
Emily and all her new things. She got a Peter Cottontail book also!

But her very favorite thing of all was the grass at the bottom of the basket. Of course.

Family Day

Yesterday Antonio's unit had Family Day. There set up displays of tanks and helicopters and stuff so kids could go in and check them out. We didn't stay too long, I did take some pictures though.

Daddy helped Emily walk back to the car! She can't go too far on her own yet, so he was giving her a hand.
It was such a nice day and we didn't want to go home yet so we went to the beach. Emily wasn't too impressed with the sand, but she had so much fun having Daddy push her in the swing.

I love this picture! You can see she was having an awesome time!

Where Emily???

Game time! Can you find Emily in this picture??

Master Schemer

That would be my daughter all right. This was a couple weeks ago, but I just got the pictures from Mandi. We were over Mandi and Maya's house and Emily saw something under the chair that she just HAD to have and just COULD NOT wait for Mommy to get.

I really thought she was stuck for a minute, but nope. She was so proud of herself, of course, and thought it was the most fun thing ever.
On another VERY exciting not, Emily started walking on Wednesday! I was sitting on couch where Emily was holding on and she had her toy table in the middle of the room. Well all of a sudden she just took off towards it! I was in total shock and it didn't even dawn on me that she was walking until she fall on her little butt. She took a good 8 steps and almost made it to the table, she was about 2 steps shy! Of course, Daddy was in the field over night and wasn't here to see. But now that she did it once, Emily and I have been practicing a lot and I'm sure Daddy will get to see her new trick in no time!
