Seriously
The Giants lost. Its just like a New York team to get into the playoffs and screw it up (yes, Yankees, I'm talking about you). I don't want to discuss this any further. Sports Center keeps rubbing it in my face. It hurts my feelings. I'm going to bed.

While Daddy's away, we PLAY
Antonio left on the 8th for training in Virginia. When he was deployed this last time we got Emily a Daddy Doll and she been playing with it ever since he's been gone. She just stares and it, kind of like she is thinking "you look like my daddy, but you're not!"
The best is she has been playing with her house my parents got her for Christmas a ton, so she has been dragging the Daddy Doll through the door and pulling it through the window. Its pretty funny to see her playing house with "daddy."
And she like this for a good 30 minutes, just banging Elmo and Daddy together. Daddy, meet Elmo. Elmo, meet Daddy!
Last night I watched my friends Mandi and Patrick's daughter Maya so they could have some time before he deploys this week. She's about 3 months old and so cute!
Here were the kiddos together. Emily was pretty complacent here because she was watching Elmo's world, but let me tell you she was super jealous. As soon as I took Maya out of the pink chair (which used to be hers) she climbed in it!
Emily checking Maya out. On the surface it is a cute picture. But looking closer, Emily is giving Maya a DIRTY look. And about two seconds later, Emily attempted to pounce on Maya. Needless to say, there are no more pictures from last night. My child is a little brat.
Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?!

Rae's Baby Shower
Today we threw a baby shower for Rae. I met her (and all the other girls) on the Board. That's the Marine Corps support group I go on online a lot of you have probably heard me talk about. She's due with a boy February 1st, but honestly we all think she is going to very soon!
Here she is with the blanket I made her. With the holidays and everything I haven't had as much time as usual to get it done. I was crocheting like a mad woman last night to finish!
This was the best picture I could get of Emily and Maya together. Maya is 11 months old and just the cutest! Miss Emily was just not interested in taking pictures today. They were watching Elmo's World.
Here is a picture of all of us at the shower (minus Emily, who settled down for a nap). From left to right, it Amy (who is also from NJ), Rae, Sarah and Hayden, Me, and then the bottom is Salome, Mandi and Maya.
This is after dinner and bath. Aren't these the CUTEST pajamas?! Abuela and Abuelo got them for her for Christmas. I love them. They say "born to dance." She does love to dance actually. Currently her favorite song is "Single Ladies" by Beyonce. She shakes her little booty every time she hears it!
And even my dog thinks she is a princess. Poor Antonio, he is out numbered.

We brush our teeth!
...I was at my baby shower! I can't believe its been a whole year. To think, 365 days ago I was bigger than a house, uncomfortable, and all the things we've gotten SO MUCH use out of over the past year were still in boxes with tags! Its nuts!
My cake and me at the shower. And just a side view to remind you all just how huge I was (not like we forgot)!
And what I got out of it :)

Happy (early) Birthday Antonio!
Even though its not until tomorrow, we celebrated Antonio's birthday today because tomorrow he has to go back to work. With the holidays he's been off for about 2 weeks. Actually we've sort been celebrating it all weekend. Its sort of a big deal seeing as its his 1st birthday we've been together since he joined the Marines. Last night, our friends watched Emily and he and I and went to see the Tom Cruise movie Valkyre (was actually really good!). And today I gave him his present (I bought him a humidor for his cigars). Today we just hung out, he played some Xbox, and we are going to watch some movies from Blockbuster once the baby is in bed. Here are some pictures.
While I was baking Antonio's birthday cake, Emily was playing with her kitchen set!
Antonio's birthday cake, with 23 candles!
The birthday boy, and his baby girl
Blowing out the candles. You can't tell from the picture but Emily was helping (more like spiting!). Her birthday is going to be some much fun! I can't believe will be 1 soon!
Cutting the cake
Daddy put frosting on her nose and she didn't like it too much!
Grandpa bought her that shirt. It says "I may be small but I'm the BOSS." True story.
Today was bittersweet thought, because it was Antonio's last day of leave. He goes back to work tomorrow and then leaves for Virginia for 3 weeks on Thursday. And that is just the start of the work ups leading up his deployment this spring. It was great having him home for the last 2 weeks, it just definitley went too fast.
